MARGAO: The Shree Dambabale Ghodde Cultural Association on Saturday distributed cheques of about Rs 25,000 each to some of the vendors affected by the Margao market fire.
Former Fatorda MLA, Damu Naik, who pledged assistance when the incident happened, also demanded that the municipality work out an insurance package for the vendors as such fires were common in the market.
