Complainant Vadivel neither entered church premises nor met Domnic: Pastor’s niece

Mapusa: Refuting the charges levelled by Vadivel B, son of Balasubramaniam, Pastor Domnic’s niece Zenobia Kamat alleged that Vadivel never entered the church premises. CCTV footages have revealed that the complainant was sitting in his grey car outside the church at 7.06 pm on December 31 and inquiring whether he could attend the service.

“The volunteers told him that the service was meant only for registered members and that they could not allow him inside. He then inquired whether he could attend the Friday service, which they replied in the negative and stated that they had not opened the church doors to newcomers and if he wanted he could go to the administrative office and find out. Vadivel then went to the administrative office and knocked at the window and was seen in the CCTV footage conversing with the clerk through the window, from 7.11 pm to 7.19 pm,” she said.

“He was seen asking that he be registered as a newcomer and even dictated his name and address and left  the place,” stated Zenobia.

“The CCTV footages revealed that the pastor and his wife neither met Vadivel nor had any conversation with him, forget about sprinkling holy water. The residential footage will reveal the truth once it is presented in court,” Zenobia said.

“Both the pastor and his wife were at their residence at the time when Vadivel lodged his so-called complaint with the police. Vadivel claimed that he was at the church at around 7.11 pm and 7.19 pm. When in fact Domnic and his wife were at their residence till 9 pm and attended church service only after 9 pm,” Zenobia said.

“A posse of 50 policemen headed by DySP Dalvi had come to our church and place to gather forensic evidence and conduct the panchanama and requested us to submit CCTV footages,” Zenobia said.
