Social activist Kashinath Shetye today filed a complaint against three examiners in connection with MBBS question paper leak at Goa Medical College (GMC).
Shetye, Ketan Govekar and Atish Mandrekar in their complaint letter at Agassaim Police Station alleged that the papers were deliberately leaked with the motive for wrongful and monetary gains.
“The examination papers of final year MBBS paper I and paper II (Medicine) have been deliberately leaked all three sets which have been set by three different examiners in the university of board of examiners for wrongful and monetary gains and thereby causing loss to the students of GMC,” reads the complaint letter.
GMC in consultation with Goa University had to cancel General Medicine I and II papers after each of all three sets of question papers were allegedly found to be leaked.
While General Medicine II paper scheduled for Monday morning was cancelled minutes before the exam, General Medicine I which was already answered on Saturday also stands cancelled.
GU has set up a three member committee to inquiry into the leakage.
“…This has caused a loss to the students,” the complaint letter further reads, a copy of which is furnished to the North Goa Superintendent of Police.
The complainants have requested to register the case under Sections 406, 409, 420, 120B and also under Section 34 and under Sections of Prevention of Corruption Act 13 (1) D and 13 (1) C and initiate inquiry into the complaint.
Inspector Vishwesh Karpe told Herald that they have initiated preliminary inquiry into the matter.
