As per the complainant, the thieves decamped with cash worth Rs 4,500, a laptop and other belongings. The crime is said to have occurred late Sunday night.
Offences under sections 454 and 447 of the IPC for criminal trespass and 380 of IPC for theft has been registered.
The police are investigating the case from all angles. They are trying to get CCTV footage from the neighbouring area to ascertain if it sheds some light on the identity of the thieves.
The police have also called on the general public to provide any information that they might have regarding the incident.
