Concerned citizens demand FIR be filed against MVR construction for Malpem, Dhargal landslides

Allege Chief Minister bent on finishing government treasury

PERNEM: Concerned citizens of Pernem have demanded the resignation of Chief Minister
Pramod Sawant in the wake of the double landslides at Malpem and Dhargal in
Pernem. The submitted a complaint to the Pernem Police Station to file an FIR
against MVR constructions. On Saturday, four tourists from Dhapoli had a miraculous
escape on NH 66 when a bounder bounced inches over their car and another fell infornt of
their vehicle at Malpem, at 11am. In the second landslide at 3.45 pm a huge bolder was lodged on the retaining
wall at Mahakhazan, Dhargal.

Concerned
citizens of Pernem, especially Sanjay Barde alleged that MVR was a son in Law
of the BJP government and hence no action was taken against him. Signatory Suraj
Kambli said that the government is out to finish the government treasury.
Dipesh Naik demanded that action be taken against MVR and government engineers
who were supervising the NH66 work. The fourth signatory is Sitesh More. They
also questioned why the highway work was not given to Pernem contractors.
