PANJIM: Suspended Uttar Pradesh MLA Mahendra Singh, who along with five others had been charged under the Immoral Traffic (Prevention) Act, was Monday released on conditional bail by the District and Sessions Court in Panjim.
Ajay Pratap Singh, Dharmendra Prasad and the person who is accused as having leased the premises ~ Babu Ghanta ~ were also released on bail on personal bond of Rs 10,000 each. All the four accused have been directed to appear before the investigating team at Panjim police station for three consecutive days.
The two Nepali natives ~ Komal Bahadur Thapa and Sanjeev Gumor Sah, who were also booked under the Act have been remanded to 14 days judicial custody.
Police said they are still searching for the kingpin ~ Manohar, who brought the girls to Goa. The MLA claimed he was innocent after he walked out of the Court premises following the order.
