PANJIM: The National Platform for Small Scale Fish Workers (NPSSFW) held a two-day National Conference to learn and address the problems faced by Small Scale Fish Workers (SSFW) in the western zone of India.
Briefing media persons, NPSSFW President Pradeep Chatterjee said that the purpose of holding the Western Zone regional meeting was to provide a representation for SSFW at the national level. He informed that SSFW is represented by about 24 fisher’s organisations from 20 States and the Union Territories of India. Stating that it is difficult to coordinate with all the members, he said the meeting was held to address the problems of regional fishermen.
