PONDA: Confusion has prevailed among locals of Usgao, amid reports that a tiger had been sighted in the area.
While locals from Udiwada, Avalyan and Palwada in Usgao have claimed to have sighted a tiger, there has been no confirmation from forest officials.
Reports of the tiger’s presence were spread in the village when some women claimed to have seen the tiger while proceeding to a cashew plantation.
Meanwhile, residents of Arla in Kerim-Ponda also claimed to have spotted a leopard on the Bhutkhamb plateau, after the leopard is reported to have killed some cattle and dogs in the area.
