MARGAO: Leader of Opposition and Margao MLA Digambar Kamat on Saturday said Congress defectors will surely feel the anger of public in the upcoming Assembly elections.
Speaking to the media persons on the sideline of Gandhi Jayanti celebration at Margao, Digambar also said there is a great opportunity to the people of Goa to elect the candidates and party in order to provide good governance in the State.
“Those who have left the Congress Party will surely regret at the time of elections. The result of 10 defectors will also be known in the elections. Congress defectors will surely feel the anger of public,” said Digambar.
He further said that there is a good opportunity for the people to elect the candidates and the party in order to have good governance in the State.
Reacting to the entry of Trinamool Congress, he said, “It is not new that different political parties make their entry at the time of elections.”
“At the moment we have noticed the presence of AAP and TMC. Maybe tomorrow Janat Dal will also feel their presence in Goa. But the decision needs to be taken by the people of Goa,” he stated.
The Leader of opposition said, “The people have witnessed the governance of Congress in the past and now of the BJP government. However, Goans are capable enough to take the right decisions after reviewing all the political developments happening in Goa.”
“Goans have seen the governance and contribution given by Congress Party for the State of Goa may it be for the liberation or any other statues. We must remember that the Opinion Poll was also given by the then Prime Minister Indira Gandhi,” he stated.
