Cong flays govt for not releasing Gogol patient’s body

MARGAO: Congress President Girish Chodankar on Monday flayed the government for not having released the body of a patient from Gogol Housing Board, who passed away on July 25. The reason cited is pending COVID test result.

Girish said the body has not been released and termed it most unfortunate. He alleged that the BJP government has started giving pains and troubles to the families of those who pass away at Goa Medical College and Hospital for no fault of theirs. “With the unfortunate incidence of GMC not releasing the body of a patient who died today from the Housing Board, Gogol as his COVID test report done at Margao on July 25 is pending. The patient has not even received SMS about testing, over 3000 reports are awaited. This exposes the mismanagement of COVID-19 by the Chief Minister and Health Minister, who are using the pandemic situation for corruption. Why should innocent people suffer due to failure if the defective Government,” he questioned.
