Cong gears up for Rahul’s visit

PANJIM: The Congress has geared up for its national president Rahul Gandhi’s visit to the State scheduled on March 8. He will address at the booth workers convention at the Dr Shyama Prasad Mukherjee Indoor Stadium in Taleigao.
Addressing the media, GPCC president Girish Chodankar informed that Rahul Gandhi would be addressing the gathering in the evening at the convention.
“As part of Jeet Ki Ore, Congress national president Rahul Gandhi will address the booth workers convention, which will be attended by Congress workers from across the State”, he stated.
Girish informed that during the first official visit, Gandhi would also meet the mining affected people. “He had met them in Delhi when they were had protested in the national capital and he will be meeting them, again and listen to their grievances”, he added.
Girish said, “Rahul Gandhi’s visit will be in a way the campaign launching in the State for the elections.”
