CUNCOLIM: Congress leaders on Saturday appealed to Cuncolim voters to stand with Congress candidate Francisco Sardinha.
Addressing a meeting in the town, Leader of Opposition Chandrakant Kavlekar said that the sitting BJP MP Narendra Sawaikar failed in every field.
Sawaikar failed to raise Goa related issues in Parliament; he also failed to take up developmental works in his constituency. “We had asked five questions to PM Naredra Modi are dear to Goan — Special Status, mining and Rs 15 lakh promise, CRZ and River Nationalisation. Unfortunately, Modi failed to answer these issues; he not even mentioned them during his rally in Goa,” Kavlekar said.
Cuncolim MLA Clafacio Dias, senior leaders Moti Dessai, Joe Dias, Subhash Fal Dessai, Deepak Kharangate and Altino criticised BJP government.
Sardinha promised to work for resuming mining industry and appealed to Cuncolkars to stand with him.
