BICHOLIM: Rajya Sabha Member of Parliament Vinay Tendulkar on Friday accused the Congress of misleading the people over the farm bills, which will actually benefit the farmers.

Addressing a press conference, Tendulkar said that Gandhi family come to Goa for pleasure while the Central minister Prakash Javadekar visited the State to discuss the problems of the farmers.

“Gandhi family including Sonia, Rahul and Priyanka come to Goa for pleasure but Javadekar visited the State to interact with the farmers. He came to discuss the issues related to farming, mining and other such issues and still the Congress tried to misguide the people,” Tendulkar said.

He said that the BJP government has come up with a bill which will help the farmers and all should support it. He explained the benefits of the bill and also assured that he would try to solve the issues of the farmers.

Speaking on much debated Mhadei issue, he expressed confidence in the Central government.

“I have raised the issue in Rajya Sabha and we have also met the Prime Minister. We are hopeful and confident that Centre would not do any injustice to the State of Goa,” Tendulkar informed adding “we would get our water”.
