PANJIM: Curtorim Congress MLA Aleixo Reginaldo Lourenco has written to the Chief Minister about vaccinating seafarers.
He also called for priests of different religions to be given the status of COVID warriors so that they can be vaccinated on priority basis, given that they go to people’s houses for counselling.
Regarding seafarers, he pointed out that they travel regularly by sea and that they should be given preference as they are not allowed to travel if they are not vaccinated.
He added that he has also requested the NRI Commissioner as well about giving preference to those who are working on the ships.
“If the CM is interested in reviving the economy he will do it. Let these seafarers start earning and let the economy rise,” Reginaldo added.
