MARGAO: Congress MLA Aleixo Reginaldo Lourenco termed the assurance given by Prime Minister Narendra Modi during his video conference call with BJP workers as yet another episode of “blatant lies” that he has been telling.
Pointing out that mining in Goa had stopped on March 15, 2018, Aleixo said it was surprising that the prime minister’s assurance comes on the eve of the elections when in reality the BJP governments at the Centre and in the State slept over the issue for nearly one year since mining had stopped.
Reginaldo also pointed out various unfulfilled promises made by Modi.
