PANJIM: Leader of the Opposition Michael Lobo on Friday said that they will meet Speaker Ramesh Tawadkar regarding the new restrictions of allowing only five sub-questions to a Legislative Assembly Question (LAQ).
Speaking to reporters after chairing the Congress Legislature Party (CLP) meeting at Porvorim, Lobo said that they discussed the latest decision of the Speaker allowing only five sub-questions to a main LAQ unlike in the past when there were no such restrictions on asking sub-questions.
He said that they will soon meet the Speaker and request him to either withdraw the restrictions or to allow minimum seven sub-questions to a main question submitted by the MLAs. However, there is no change in MLA asking three supplementaries to the LAQ tabled by him.
