CUNCOLIM: Will the crumbling Congress be able to win Cuncolim seat is a big question mark?
Former MLA Joaquim Alemao along with his supporters has quit the party after he was denied the Cuncolim ticket and now is planning to contest the seat either as an Independent or as any other party nominee.
And some months ago, youth leader and former Chairperson of Cuncolim Municipal Council Devendra Dessai said good bye to Congress along with his supporters. Now he is a Shiv Sena nominee from Cuncolim.
On Thursday, Congress Youth Chief Sanket Kunde and his team said good bye to Congress.
If one believes Joaquim and other sources, John Montero, another prominent Congress man has also decided to say good bye to Congress and join Joaquim.
With the odds mounting against him, “Will Clefacio Dias, the Congress candidate for Cuncolim, win the seat?” is the question occupying everyone’s mind.
The prospects of BJP are no different in Cuncolim, as the GSM- MGP-Shiv Sena alliance candidate may chip way its votes.
