MARGAO: The South Goa Congress Committee and Seva Dal members held a demonstration against the government for failing to fulfil the promises it made to the people.
GPCC President Luizinho Faleiro, Margao MLA Digambar Kamat, Congress leader Pratima Coutinho and party workers took to the street holding placards and shouting slogans against the ruling dispensation.
Luizinho told the media that “The prices of commodities have now skyrocketed. Over 1.5 lakh youth registered in the employment exchange are still unemployed and are rotting. Every day average 4 youngsters are leaving the State and over 200 are lining up at Portuguese consulate to leave Goa.”
