Cong rally for life ban on Alemao clan

CANACONA: Several speakers at a Congress rally in Canacona urged party leaders to invoke a life-time ban on the entire Alemao clan, to prevent Churchill’s possible re-entry into the Congress party.
“Whenever Churchill leaves the Congress party, he ensures that someone from his family clan remains in the Congress. So, even if the party attempts to keep the doors permanently shut for Churchill, his family member in the party removes the inside latch of the door and takes him in,” stated Mohandas Lolienkar.
“It is, therefore, imperative that the entire Churchill’s clan be permanently expelled from the Congress, to ensure a life-time ban on Churchill’s re-entry into Congress,” said Lolienkar.
Two other speakers, including Prashant Naik, came down heavily on Churchill, GPCC chief John Fernandes was quick to accept the strong anti-Churchill sentiments at the meeting.
“Enough of Ayaram, Gayaram; Churchill will not be allowed back into Congress party. I assure you that Churchill, who by now has become habitual in leaving the party on whims and fancies, will not be re-admitted into Congress fold as far as I hold the party reigns in Goa,” promised Fernandes.
Fatorda MLA Vijai Sardessai also did not spare Churchill, while also targeting Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar and Canacona MLA Ramesh Tawadkar for their revengeful acts.
Congress candidate Aleixo Reginaldo Lourenco went a step forward and prayed to God to forgive Churchill, Sardinha and Mauvin for playing with people’s aspirations, especially when communal clouds are hovering over the heads.
“I am not saying anything bad to these people for not standing behind me. Let God forgive them,” he said.
