Cong, TMC to celebrate Goa’s L-Day today

PANJIM: Goa Pradesh Congress Committee (GPCC) will celebrate 60th anniversary of Goa Liberation Day on Sunday. 

The main function will be held near Pilar Bus Stop, next to Cake Craft Cafe at 9:30 am. 

The function is being hosted by Sant Andre Block Congress Committee. 

AICC in-charge for Goa Dinesh Gundu Rao will be the chief guest and unfurl the national flag. 

Goa Pradesh Congress Committee  president Girish Chodankar, Leader of the Opposition Digambar Kamat, working presidents Aleixo Sequeira and Aleix Reginaldo Lourenco and senior vice president M K Shaikh will be present. 

On the occasion, the office of Overseas Goans will be inaugurated. 

The Goa Trinammol Congress Party (TMC) will also celebrate Goa’s liberation at a function to be held at The International Centre Goa, Dona Paula at 11 am.

On the occasion, the TMC will felicitate veteran freedom fighters followed by a cultural programme.
