Cong unveils tree plantation programme

PANJIM, JULY 8
The Congress Party has decided to take up a massive tree plantation programme in the State.
Congress workers would do tree plantation in 42 panchayats and eight municipal areas in which around 50000 saplings would be planted during this drive, declared Congress State President, Subhash Shirodkar at a press conference on Wednesday here.
The programme would continue till August 15, he said.
To a question, Shirodkar said, the party would do a follow-up of the programmes undertaken by them in the past.
