BICHOLIM: Bicholim Congress workers protested half-naked against tearing down of posters of party leader Adv Manohar Shirodkar and Bicholim MLA Naresh Sawal.
Few days before the BJP’s Sankalp rally, posters of Sawal and Adv Shirodkar were torn down by some unknown persons.
Taking dig at this, Adv Shirodkar along with his supporters protested near the Shivaji Maharaja by taking off their shirts.
“We strongly denounce the BJP for tearing down the posters in Bicholim. The BJP indulged in such act out of frustration,” he said.
“It is surprising that they have torn down even the posters of the Bicholim MLA. Since Sawal is a representative of the people it is an insult to the people,” he claimed.
