PERNEM: Senior Congressman Sanjay Barde filed a police complaint against Pernem Excise officers for their alleged involvement in the liquor license scam on Saturday.
Barde while speaking to mediapersons said that the government was robbed of around Rs 2 crore by its own officers but no FIR was registered against them.
“The Chief Minister assured to recover the amount from the officials and take strict action against the accused. Three officials were suspended, but no FIR has been registered against them till date,” said Barde and demanded strict action against the accused.
Barde questioned as to why the Chief Minister was not initiating stern action against the guilty despite holding the Home and Excise portfolios with himself.
