Congress allege all permission for illegal bungalow secured through forged signature

The Congress on Thursday alleged that the signatures on the sale deed of the property at Old Goa and application for reconstruction of the illegal bungalow at old Goa, do not match. Speaking at a press conference, Adv Carlos Alvares Ferreira, alleged there was forgery of the signatures . Although two names were written in the application for reconstruction, there was only one signature, he said.

The property was purchased by the original owners Goveia Pintos in 2015. The application for  reconstruction was made in 2016, but the signature is not of the original owners –Jose Maria de Goveia Pinto and his sister, Adv Ferreira stated.

This is a great fraud on the govt and the village panchayat. He said if the signature is forged then all other permissions become invalid. Adv Ferreira stated that the original owners have approached him to file a police complaint in the case. The issue came to light after documents of various permissions were obtained through RTI. The police complaint will be filed at the Old Goa Police Station under sections  465, 471, 491 & 420 on Thursday.

Congress has demanded demolition of the illegal Old Goa bungalow. Adv Ferreira also said that all the conditions of the Archaeological Survey of India and the TCP had been violated. Replying to media questions, he said the owners would file police complaint against unknown persons since they are not aware who exactly did the forgery. Congress will take this case to its logical conclusion, he declared.
