The party has suggested that along with sealing of the entire border, the drivers of all the vehicles carrying essential commodities should be strictly checked and only on testing negative, entry should be allowed.

The party demanded that the borders, airport and railway stations should be equipped with OPD facilities and mobile ambulances.

“Since cases of migrant drivers have come to light, the government should immediately stop movement of vehicles carrying non-essential items including, iron ore, coal, manganese, etc, till the situation is under control,” it added.

The party has threatened to hold a ‘Rasta Roko Andolan’, from Pernem to Canacona, if the suggestions are not put forth by the government.
