CANACONA: South Goa district Congress office bearers held a meeting with Canacona Congress block office bearers and booth level workers to reorganize themselves on the eve of the Zilla Panchayat (ZP) elections. South Goa District Congress Committee President Joe Dias and Vice President Deepak Karangate together with GPCC General Secretary Janaradhan Bhandari, State Secretary Mahadev Desai, deliberated on party rebuilding and organising themselves at booth level for success in ZP elections in the two seats which are at stake in Canacona. After the meeting, Bandhari said, “Remy Borges and Rajesh Velip have staked their claim to contest the Khola ZP seat, while we have asked the Congress block office bearers and party workers to recommend names for the Poinguinim seat. After due process, the names of the candidates for both seats will be declared.”
