PANJIM: Goa Trinamool Congress (TMC) on Friday got a shot in the arm with the induction of former senior Congress spokesman Trajano D’Mello.
At the same event, North Goa District Congress committee vice-president Gautam Mandrekar and BJP Shirgao village committee member Sanmesh Gaonkar joined the party along with five others.
The induction took place in the presence of the AITC national vice president and Rajya Sabha MP Luizinho Faleiro and AITC Lok Sabha MP and Goa in-charge Mahua Moitra at the party office, Panjim.
“If any party tries to give a wrong impression or spread lies about TMC, I will peel them off like onions. TMC in Goa will sincerely work in ending BJP’s misrule and improving lives of all Goans,” said D’Mello with all praise for West Bengal Chief Minister and TMC chairperson Mamata Banerjee. When asked if he would contest the upcoming Assembly elections if given a ticket, Trajano asserted, “I’m not going to contest elections and I have been saying this since 2017.”
