PANJIM: In a statement that has embarrassed him and his party, All India Congress Committee (AICC) secretary A Chellakumar on Wednesday raised doubts over the Pulwama terror attack despite the JeM terror wing claiming responsibility for the attack that killed 40 CRFP jawans.
Addressing media persons in Panjim, Chellakumar claimed that recently a video clip had surfaced which claimed that the Godhra incident was planned by BJP. “If it is so why not Pulwama incident also? They have identified jawans’ bodies but where is the body of the terrorist. So far they have not been able to show the terrorist’s body to the people,” he said, indirectly posing a question whether the Pulwama incident was really a terrorist attack.
Chellakumar also responded in the positive to a question whether BJP was misusing the defence forces to retain power at the Centre in the coming elections. “Yes. People are thinking so now. People are not fools. Prime Minister and Amit Shah can go to any extent to retain power,” Chellakumar said.
