Congress says it will file disqualification petition against 8 MLAs who joined BJP

The Congress party has said it will file a disqualification petition against 8 of its MLAs who joined the BJP. They said they had got the documents which were required to file the disqualification petition. Former chief minister Digambar Kamat, former Opposition leader Michael Lobo, his wife Delilah Lobo, Rajesh Phaldesai, Sankalp Amonkar, Kedar Naik and Rudolfo Fernandes and Aleixo Sequeira of the Congress joined the BJP on 14 September 2022.

The Congress party has said it will file a disqualification petition against 8 of its MLAs who joined the BJP. “We have got the documents which we wanted. Based on these documents, we will now file a disqualification petition against the 8 rebel MLAs, Amit Patkar said. Eight MLAs including Former Chief Minister Digambar Kamat, former Opposition leader Michael Lobo, and his wife Delilah Lobo, joined the BJP on 14 September 2022.
