PANJIM: The Goa Pradesh Congress Committee (GPCC) will hold public rallies on ‘Mehangai Par Halla Bol’ against the price rises in the State from August 26 to 28.
GPCC chief spokesman Amarnath Panjikar said that the first such rally will be held near Monginis, Mapusa market, at 11 am on Friday while, the second programme is scheduled at the Vasco market, at 5 pm.
On Saturday, the Congress leaders and workers will participate in the ‘Mehangai Par Halla Bol’ at the old bus stand, Ponda, at 11 am and later at Shree Pimpalkatta, Margao, at 5 pm.
On Sunday, the public awareness programme will conclude near the Panjim-Betim ferry boat, at 11 am.
Panjikar said that the people were suffering as the BJP government had failed to control the rising inflation and unemployment.
He said that Congress will continue creating awareness among the people about anti-people policies and force the government to reduce the high prices of essential commodities.
