Congress to request Rane to contest elections

MAPUSA: North Goa District Congress Committee to request Poriem MLA Pratapsingh Rane to contest upcoming Assembly Election.

Addressing media on Thursday, Vijay Bhike president of North Goa District Congress Committee said, “North Goa District Congress Committee and youth would request Former Chief Minister and senior politician Pratapsingh Rane to contest 2022 Assembly Election since the youth contesting need guidance and support of such a senior leader as advisor,” said Bhike.

Bhike claimed that during his term as CM, law and order was never an issue and farmers, fishermen and other sectors were never this sad as today.

“The upcoming elections will be fought to safeguard and protect the identity, culture, pride of Goa. It doesn’t matter how many of our MLA leaves the party, since Congress is the only party which has stood firm to work on the issues. Congress will win with thumping majority,” said Bhike.
