PANJIM: The second list of Congress candidates for the forthcoming Goa Assembly elections will be announced by December 31, according to Goa Pradesh Congress Committee (GPCC) president Girish Chodankar.
Chodankar said that the meeting of the Pradesh Election Committee (PEC) has been convened on Tuesday, December 27 to recommend the names of candidates selected by the block Congress committees.
It is learnt that the Central Election Committee (CEC) will announce names of six of seven candidates in the second list.
The Congress office-bearers have been has tentatively allotted Assembly constituencies in view of the ensuing Assembly elections. Some of the office-bearers have been made in-charge of two constituencies while, other will be in-charge of one Assembly segment each.
