Mumbai: The Hindu organization—Sanatan Sanstha—claims that some progressives, organisations and political leaders (without naming them) are trying to defame the organization by connecting some Hindus, arrested by Maharashtra ATS, to the Sanstha. Refuting messages spread over social media, they said that Sanatan Sanstha is an organization, which is propagating spirituality in constitutional manner, and its teaching is in no way connected to violence.
They, however, admitted that a few of the arrested devout Hindu activists used to participate at the local level in various programmes of Hindu unity organised by Hindu Janajagruti Samiti. “Just because they are arrested, a demand for ‘a ban on Sanatan’ or ‘arrest the head of Sanatan’ is as ridiculous as demanding a ‘ban on Congress’ or ‘arrest Rahul Gandhi’ after the arrest of a leader of the party giving support to Congress,” said Chetan Rajhans in a statement.
He also said, “We wish to reiterate that none of these individuals is the seeker of Sanatan Sanstha. Out of these, we heard for the first time the names of five individuals – Kalaskar, Andhure, Surale brothers and Rege. As a result, nobody should connect them to Sanatan.”
According to them, all the allegations hurled at Sanatan Sanstha are based on the information sought unofficially from ATS and CBI meaning from the “information sought from reliable sources’. “Infact, the Maharashtra Anti-Terrorism Squad clarified in a press conference held by it that they had not named any particular organization,” he said in the statement.
He further said, “On the one hand, the ATS asks the Court for Police remand of arrested accused to investigate the objective of the accused, and on the other, accusations are made out of the Court about bomb explosion during Maratha agitation, conspiracy to indulge in terrorist activity during Bakri-Eid, an army of 500 trained activists etc., and these are spread all over through social media; this is a political conspiracy. The government should also search who is behind the spread of communal messages through the social media regarding this issue.”
Sanatan Sanstha has emerged as the institution which is undertaking the radiant mission of propagating Dharma continuously for past 27 years.
