MARGAO: The probe into the case of causing death of two police constables attached to Colva Police Station by a speeding car at Seraulim while performing Nakabandi has almost been completed and a chargesheet will be filed next month, said Colva PI Melson Colaco.
Giving details of the case Colaco said, “The car hit a motorcycle bearing registration GA-09-Q-9493 and two cars GA-07-E-3477 and GA-08-A-3202 which were parked on the left side of the road causing damages”. The tragic accident took place on Saturday, January 15, 2022.
“We have recorded some statements in support of the case and opinion from the concerned authorities will be taken before the case is charge-sheeted in the court”, Colaco said.
It may be recalled that in a tragic accident, two police constables Shailesh Gaonkar (30), a resident of Ghodke-Balli and Vishwas Deykar (32) from Corgyagal-Ambaulim in Quepem taluka, who were on Nakabandi duty, were killed after they were knocked down by a speeding car near Dholio Service Station, Mungul-Seraulim junction last month.
