MARGAO: The PWD office in Margao on Friday witnessed a huge rush of upset consumers, who complained that their water supply was disconnected.

PWD officials informed the consumers that the action was taken due to the non-payment of water bills, and urged the public to use the One-Time-Settlement (OTS) scheme to clear their pending dues. There were some disputes wherein customers claimed they had paid their dues, but the same was not updated in the PWD’s accounts, and the officials promised to examine these complaints..
The others were asked to clear their bills and also pay the reconnection charges, either by a cheque or demand draft.
