Contractor gets another week to clear iron ore from Kalay Rly Station stockyard

PANJIM: The High Court of Bombay at Goa allowed the contractor M/s Dessai Logistics additional time of one week to clear the iron ore stacked at the Kalay Railway Station stockyard.

The Chief Wildlife Warden had filed a miscellaneous civil application seeking an extension of time by four weeks to comply with the Court directions dated February 5, 2024 wherein the contractor was asked to transport 1,868 metric tonnes of iron ore from the Kalay Railway Station, within a week.

The Court observed that the Chief Wildlife Warden had mentioned sufficient cause to grant an extension of four weeks to the contractor. Accordingly, the miscellaneous civil application was allowed and an extension of four weeks as prayed for, was granted.

During the hearing, senior advocate S S Kantak, appearing for the contractor stated that all the iron ore, except about 100 tonnes was remaining to be removed from the Kalay Railway Station stockyard.
