CoP intends to redevelop maritime school at Britona

The project is to be executed on a Design-Build-Finance-Operate-Transfer (DBFOT) Model of PPP.

PANJIM: The Captain of Ports (CoP) has invited a Request For Proposal (RFP) to redevelop the existing Maritime School and Jetty into a world-class Goa Institute of Maritime Excellence (GIME) at Britona. 

The CoP intends to redevelop the maritime school in Public Private Partnership (PPP) mode and bring in private sector expertise to impart maritime education. The project is to be executed on a Design-Build-Finance-Operate-Transfer (DBFOT) Model of PPP. 

In view of this, CoP has invited bids as per the RFP conditions from interested national and international educational institutions and developers. The bid documents can be downloaded free of cost only through the e-procurement portal of the Government of Goa.

A pre-bid meeting will be held on October 19, and the last date to submit proposals through the e-procurement mode is November 16.
