Cops: Assagao murder main accused in HP

CALANGUTE: Anjuna Police on Sunday stated that the main accused in the Assagao murder case has reached Kulu Manali in Himachal Pradesh.
According to Anjuna PI Vishwesh Karpe, the accused’ friend informed police that the accused is in Kulu Manali for the last 10 days and a police team has been sent to Kulu Manali to nab the accused.
It may be recalled that the accused has been absconding after he allegedly murdered Rekha Karath from Vasant Nagar, Sanquelim on January 17.
However, there were rumours doing the rounds that the accused was moving in jungle areas in Camurli, Tivim and other places. There were also reports that the accused attacked some people in Camurli and other places.
