MARGAO: The Fatorda police are checking CCTV footages of six places near the Holy Spirit Church inorder to obtain vital clues of the alleged accused who stole Rs 1.5 lakhs from the church office.
The accused are still at large and there is no breakthrough into the theft till date, said police.
Meanwhile a police team form here also visited the Central jail at Colvale to get details of two ex-convicts who had committed similar thefts in North Goa .
Police said that two suspects who were arrested by police then have now been released but the cops are now on the look out history of these sheeters to solve the case.
It may be recalled that some unknown person entered into the premises of Holy Spirit Church and decamped with valuables and cash worth Rs 1.50 lakh.
