PANJIM: Goa Police’s Crime Branch has sought details of accused Ram Bharose’s personal details and criminal antecedents from Bihar police. The 20-year-old labourer was arrested on Sunday in connection with the alleged rape and murder of fisherwoman Vijaya Pagi in Canacona on January 31. “It is a procedure…We have to seek these details for investigation,” said a senior officer. A reply from their counterparts is awaited. Police claim that Bharose has confessed to the crime. They have recovered incriminating evidence related to the offence, which will be sent for forensic tests. A team has been sent to Patna.
