VASCO: RDA Minister MLA Alina Saldanha on Saturday claimed that the much awaited notification for the bifurcation of Cortalim-Quelossim Panchayat has finally been issued and the same has also published in the official gazette by the printing press of Goa government.
“I was told that the gazette notification bifurcating Cortalim-Quelossim Panchayat would be published in next issue. However, expediting the process, the officials published the same in the recent issue released on December 22, 2016,” Alina said.
She said that now Quelossim is officially a separate panchayat and that all efforts would be made to fulfill the needs of the new panchayat.
