VASC0: Cansaulim Sarpanch Jose Maria Furtado urged Cortalim MLA Alina Saldanha to immediately pursue the matter of inaugurating the newly built Cansaulim Primary Health Centre (CPHC) so that the locals could benefit.
On the first day of New Year, Cansaulim Panchayat issued work orders to different contractors for various developmental works estimated at Rs 35 lakh in the village panchayat.
Speaking to the reporters on Friday evening in Cansaulim, Sarpanch Furtado said that the villagers from Cansaulim and nearby villages which use to take medical benefits from the Cansaulim Primary Health Centre are eagerly waiting for this newly built health centre premises to get operational. People from Zuarinagar and other nearby villages were coming to this health centre before but now in case of any medical emergencies those people have to seek medical aid at Hospicio, Margao or at Goa Medical College and Hospital, Bambolim.
Furtado said several works had slowed down due to the pandemic when he took over as the sarpanch.
