VASCO: Sarpanch Angela Furtado and Deputy Sarpanch Raymond D’Sa were voted out in a no confidence motion by six members in an 11-member Cortalim Village Panchayat, on Monday.
It may be recalled that last week six panchas moved the motion against Sarpanch Angela and Deputy Sarpanch Raymond.
Speaking to this daily, panchayat Secretary Sachin Naik informed that both sarpanch and deputy sarpanch were voted out by six against four votes.
He further said that the panchas who were in favour of no confidence motion were Senia Pereira, Agustinho Menezes, Santanho Gama, Pratap Naik, Francisco Mendes, Manuel Silva and against the motion were Raymond D’Sa, Edociana Rodrigues, Anita Kenkre and Angela Furtado. Secretary Sachin and Block Development Officer Prasidh Naik were the observers.
