Vasco: The Chairperson of Mormugao Municipality Bhavana Nanoskar has dropped a bombshell claiming that she is being removed for not allowing illegalities and corruption of her group Councillors. Bhavana Nanoskar the 2 month Chairperson of MMC will be facing the No Confidence motion today. 13 Councillors of the MMC filed the No Confidence motion against the Chairperson on the day of the MMC meeting claiming that she supports illegalities. Now the Chairperson has claimed that Kritesh Naik Gaonkar and his group has been trying to dominate her in matters which are legally critical while taking decisions.
“The Councillor Kritesh who was in the group who initiated the move to have me as Chairperson desires to become Chairperson himself. He is the one who has pressurised all for this move of No Confidence. Nevertheless, I have done what I had to justly and rightfully for the town of Vasco” said Bhavana. The Chairperson has said that the files of Builders and Developers have been held up and were being demanded money by some Councillors. She has also alleged that the Councillors have been doing illicit works in Markets of Vasco.
