PANJIM: The country is proud that a man of Kovind’s eminence is occupying the highest constitutional position of our country at a time when India is successfully marching on the path of becoming a global leader, Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar said heaping praise on President Ram Nath Kovind on the latter’s maiden visit to Goa on Saturday.
Parrikar, during the civic reception hosted for the President recalled the latter’s contribution to polity and society. Parrikar said the journey of Kovind’s life from a humble beginning to the highest constitutional office of the country has been a saga of grit, determination and hard work.
“Your achievement will inspire a generation of countrymen specially youth. Your work as lawyer in free legal aid in Delhi is shining example of your dedication to the cause of marginalised and weaker sections of society,” he said.
