In a shocking incident in Madhya Pradesh’s Indore, a couple has been arrested for the alleged murder of a hotelier and his girlfriend over a forced extra-marital affair. The accused couple, Mamta (32) and Nitin Pawar (35), were apprehended by the police for the murders that took place within the jurisdiction of the Aerodrome police station on Saturday, according to additional deputy commissioner of police Alok Kumar Sharma.
The victims, hotelier Ravi Thakur (42) and his girlfriend Sarita Thakur (38), were reportedly attacked and killed with sharp-edged weapons at Sarita’s residence. The bodies were discovered in a state of undress. Sarita had introduced Mamta to the hotelier, leading to an illicit relationship between them.
The motive behind the murders unfolded when Nitin discovered the affair, leading to disputes between the couple. Allegedly, Thakur compelled Mamta to continue the relationship by using an objectionable video against her. Mamta then called Thakur to Sarita’s house, where she and her husband purportedly killed Sarita first and later attacked Thakur upon his arrival. Authorities have recovered a sword and knife used in the killings, and a detailed investigation is underway.
