PERNEM: A couple was injured when their car collided head-on against a truck near the railway crossing, at Satarda, on Monday.
According to the police, the accident occurred at around 9.30 am when a truck while trying to overtake another vehicle collided head-on against the Wagon-R car which was coming from the opposite direction.
Driver Prakash Talavnekar and his wife Prashila sustained injuries as the bonnet of the car was badly damaged. The injured couple was immediately rushed to the Tuem Community Health Center.
Pernem Police conducted panchanama and registered an acciden case.
