Court extends remand of two accused in Phogat murder case

Sources said that the court has allowed the Central Bureau of Investigation, which is presently investigating the case, to interrogate Sagwan and Singh in jail.

Mapusa: The JMFC Court, Mapusa, on Friday extended the judicial custody of Sukhwinder Singh and Sudhir Sangwan, accused in the alleged murder of Sonali Phogat, by another 14 days. Singh and Sangwan, who were close aides of actor and BJP leader Sonali Phogat were arrested by Anjuna Police after Phogat’s brother Rinku Dhaga had registered a complaint against the two at the Anjuna Police Station. Meanwhile, sources said that the court has allowed the Central Bureau of Investigation, which is presently investigating the case, to interrogate Sagwan and Singh in jail.
