Court orders framing of charges in Margao murder case

MARGAO: The Additional Sessions Court Margao has ordered framing of charges against Parshuram Doranahalli and  Renuka Doranahallil, (since deceased) for murdering Bhimappa @ Bhimsen Kodagnoor and burying his body in the toilet cum bathroom at Aquem Margao in a bid to destroy evidence.

Judge Vincent D’Silva in his order observed that  prima facie, there exists sufficient and reasonable grounds for framing charges against them under Sections 302 and 201 of IPC.

The Judge also observed that the material on record clearly indicates that the accused with their bare hands strangulated the deceased and intentionally committed his murder as he used to harass and assault the accused Renuka under the influence of alcohol.

According to the case of  prosecution in the year 2008, the accused, Parshuram Doranahalli,  along with Renuka Doranahalli, assaulted Bhimappa @ Bhimsen Kodagnoor, who was residing with them and further with their bare hands strangulated him and intentionally committed his murder as the said Bhimappa @ Bhimsen used to harass and assault, the accused Renuka Doranahalli  (since deceased) under the influence of alcohol.

The duo later the body of Bhimappa @ Bhimsen in the toilet cum bathroom in a said room in a bid to destroy the evidence and ran away to their native place at Budihal village, Vijayapur District of Karnataka, where the accused  Renuka Doranahalli expired .

Margao police later registered the offence under section 302 and 201 IPC and arguments were heard by the court.
