MARGAO: The Judicial Magistrate First Class (JMFC) Margao ordered the Officer in Charge (OC) of the Verna Police Station to register an FIR on the basis of almost year-old complaint of physical assault and death threat by complainant Creson Joscyl Antao of Majorda and investigate the matter.
The OC is further directed to submit report of investigation within a period of 40 days from the date of order issued. In the case, the complainant stated that on May 30, 2020, around 9 am, he along with his then pregnant wife was travelling in a vehicle to Cansaulim market. At Cansaulim railway crossing while halting for the train gate, alleged accused Sunil Saldanha alias Frazer opened the driver’s door and abused him with filthy language.

The accused further removed a pen knife and started stabbing the complainant, which caused him bleeding injuries on the face, chest and shoulder. He further took out an iron rod from his car and threatened to kill the complainant and his family and thereafter fled away from the spot.
